STUDIO ARTS Vernissage + Exhibition
Spirits and Fairies is an expression of 2023 Studio Arts graduating students, their discovers of themselves in the world. An expression of both wonders and worries as natural orders are crumbling into unknown, unlived realities. We live in the epoch of Anthropocene, the impact of human activities on the natural world that cannot be changed. Plastic islands in oceans, dry riverbeds, extreme temperature changes are all now a part of our world. In spite of the negative disruptions, Spirits and Fairies, puts forward creativity as a way to cope and move forward. The students’ paintings, drawings, mixed media sculptures. and websites are each person’s creative comments on how they see the natural world
