Close Up Film Series

Close UP is a student-run Guest Speaker Film Series that aims to highlight the work of established and emerging Quebec filmmakers while allowing students to gain additional knowledge through a discussion period with the filmmakers following the screenings.

Screening April 25th — “Simo” directed by Aziz Zoromba in room 4C.1 from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm
Screening May 9th — “Red Rooms/Les chambres rouge” directed by Pascal Plane from 6:00 pm-9:00 pm in room 5B.16
Round table script reading May 16th — “Baladi” with Writer, Director, Christine Tannous from 11:00 am-2:00 pm in Oliver’s
Each event explores a different style of cinema, from short coming of age to feature length thrillers, meaning there is something for everyone. Students from all programs are encouraged to take part in the events which explore our local cinema from Close Up!
