SUMMARY:Awards application and nomination period
DESCRIPTION:Every year\, Dawson College recognizes excellence and encourages perseverance in education. Most Winter Semester Awards are offered to graduating students only\, with a few exceptions that are indicated on the Awards and Scholarships webpage. The Awards Office will be accepting applications and nominations for Winter Awards from March 28 to April 14. \nStudents: During the application period\, a link will become active in your Dawson College Omnivox portal (Student Services / Awards and Scholarships) that will lead you to the form you must complete and submit before the deadline\, as well as information concerning other materials that may be required. Some awards are nomination-based. If you feel you would be a good candidate\, you could discuss a particular award opportunity with a teacher. In most cases teachers and staff members can nominate. \nFaculty and Staff: There are several nomination-based awards. During the nomination period\, a link will become active in your Dawson College Omnivox portal (Student Services / Awards and Scholarships). If you know of an outstanding student who may meet the criteria of one of our application-based awards\, please let them know. \nIf you would like to volunteer for a selection committee\, please sign up here.

SUMMARY:Nomination period for Lieutenant Governor’s Youth Medal
DESCRIPTION:The Lieutenant Governor’s Medal recognizes the voluntary involvement\, determination and dedication of Quebecers who make or have made a difference in their community or Québec nation. \nDawson College can recommend up to two students. Faculty and staff members can nominate students to the Awards Office until December 18. A selection committee will then choose the two candidates to be officially nominated by the Awards Office. \nDuring the nomination period\, a link will become active in your Dawson College Omnivox portal (Student Services/Awards and Scholarships). \nIf you would like to volunteer for a selection committee\, please sign up here.
