DESCRIPTION:Participants will dive into the inclusive design-cycle to better understand our students\, identify barriers to learning in our course design and classroom environments\, and crowdsource solutions with the support of colleagues and local facilitators using the UDL framework as a guide. \nEach participant will leave the event with a plan to implement concrete changes in one of their courses. Professional staff from departments that support teachers and students are invited\, to help us consider how systems approaches to inclusion can contribute to the well-being of all. \nThroughout these two fun days workshopping with your colleagues\, you will have opportunities to rest\, rejuvenate\, and participate in wellness activities such as yoga\, hiking\, snowshoeing\, or games night.

DESCRIPTION:In this exhibition\, Sarah-Mecca Abdourahman explores the complexities of memory and nostalgia in her everlasting search for a connection to her parent’s homelands\, Somalia and India.  A longing for home that can bring grief and joy.  Delving into these contrasting emotions\, Abdourahman’s work moves between themes of haunting and healing\, evoking the bittersweet.  Her yearning is woven into the fabric of multimedia-painted blankets and installations which allude to both the innocence of childhood\, and its nightmares. \nExhibition Dates: March 27th – May 3rd\, 2025
