The Professional Theatre Department Presents The Trial

From April 26 to May 6, the Professional Theatre Department at Dawson College will perform The Trial, by Steven Berkoff.

The play follows a banker named Joseph K. who is arrested for an unknown crime and prosecuted by a court that seems to have no logic. Throughout the play, he is faced with totalitarian injustice. Adapted from the novel by Franz Kafka, The Trial explores political injustice and the oppression of bureaucracy. Using intuitive stagecraft, the play will be brought to life by the third-year students in their final production at Dawson Theatre under the direction of Michael Edward Hughes.
