Pedagogies of the Living Campus: Experiential Learning and the Sciences

Plants, worms and insects…oh my! This 1.5 hour workshop, facilitated by Brian Mader (Biology faculty and Environmental Science Coordinator), will explore the value of outdoor education. Several science specific examples of Living Campus activities that have taken place at Dawson will be demonstrated. Participants will be given the opportunity to participate in 2 hands-on Living Campus activities. The workshop will conclude with a round-table discussion of how to implement a living campus activity in any course.
