Come volunteer with our team in the Conrod’s courtyard’s, theatre gardens and peace garden.
Conrod’s courtyard: Biodiversity Zone
We will continue to build the microhabitats that were started last year during peace week that will not only increase the biodiversity on campus, encourage pollinators, provide another Living Laboratory space for faculty & student projects but also let YOU get to know all the different people who are a part of our community here at the College. Getting your hands dirty is the best possible way to bond with your fellow peers and build an even stronger community.
Conrod’s 3 Sister’s garden: Help plant sweetgrass for the following summer season, harvest and clean up this amazing garden with only indigenous plants! This garden is our tribute to the land, to Indigenous agricultural knowledge and acknowledgement that the College is built on Indigenous land.
Theatre garden: Help harvest, weed and learn about urban agricultural projects around the college, city and how this garden also increases our biodiversity and encourages pollinators!
Peace Garden: Created in the aftermath of the shooting, this garden stands as a reminder of our resilience as a community. Come learn about all of the garden and get your hands dirty at the same time!
