Description:
This 1.5 hour workshop will introduce participants to fundamental concepts of rubric design. Starting with the course competency as a guide, we will examine how to construct rubrics for equity and efficiency in the grading process. Participants will have the opportunity to develop a rubric, using a template and other resources.

At the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  • Link elements of the competency and performance criteria to rubric creation
  • Explore the basics of rubric design, structure, and usefulness
  • Develop a personalized rubric, using a template
